Yet our lessons come from the journey, not the destination.” Don Williams Jr.One thing that I hold very close to me is that life is full of lessons. Yes, I know, it isn’t anything new and utterly amazing, but when you think about it, each moment is valuable and thought provoking. It doesn’t matter the time, place or situation, you can always learn from that experience; and I truly believe that you were put there to learn a specific lesson. Sometimes we will end up experiencing the same type of situation over again until we get that “aha!” moment and then, (have you ever noticed?) it disappears and you move on to something else,Reflection can be an amazing tool. Allowing yourself to sit and reflect about different things in your life allows you to come up with a lot of insight into what is going on, what has gone wrong, what can be done to change the situation for the better, and what direction you need to move towards. This is all part of the journey. How you express these situations is also part of the journey and the options are endless. You can verbally express them (my hope would be in a positive nature) through gentle discussions with others or singing. You can also use writing as a source of expression by journaling, poetry, articles, or writing stories. Many people also use art in various mediums including; clay, collage, scrapbooking, metal, or glass work.It really isn’t about getting from point A to point B but what lies in between that counts. It is the journey that develops us, creates the better part of us, releases the demons in us and points us in the direction we need to be continuing in.
