Those of us in the "simplicity/simple living" world have known for years that money, greed and status weren't as satisfying as becoming successful at what truly matters to us. As singer/songwriter Kate Wolf said, "Find something you love and live a life that shows it.
I think the "occupy" movement is people waking up to the inequalities in the US (and Canada and around the world) and to the fact that our governments socialize losses and privatize gains. So the rich get richer, and the middle class and the poor (most of us!) get poorer.
